Zolo E-Waste Pop-Up – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to Zolo’s E-Waste Pop-Up events (“Event”) hosted in partnership with participating organisations (“Client”).

By participating in the Event, all individuals agree to the following terms.

1. Event Scope
The Zolo E-Waste Pop-Up is a workplace-based community initiative encouraging staff to responsibly dispose of personal e-waste from home. The event includes:
- On-site collection of unwanted personal tech devices.
- Optional prize draws, giveaways, or impact activations.
- Logistics and processing by Zolo’s certified downstream network.
- A post-event impact summary shared with the Client

Note: This event is not intended for collection of corporate-owned assets. Any business devices must be processed via Zolo’s enterprise-grade ITAD service, separate from this initiative.

2. Accepted Items
The Event accepts a range of personal electronic devices, including:
- Laptops, desktops, monitors, phones, tablets
- Accessories (e.g. keyboards, chargers, headphones)

Zolo reserves the right to refuse items deemed unsafe, damaged, or not suitable for transport.

3. Data Responsibility
While participants are encouraged to remove all personal data before drop-off, Zolo will initiate corporate-grade data erasure on all collected items:
- Data erasure is performed using Blancco software and aligned with ISO 27001 and 14001 standards.
- See here for more information on Data Security.

4. Ownership & Consent
By submitting a device, participants confirm:
- They are the rightful owner of the item
- They authorise Zolo to process the device and put it back into responsible circulation, either through reuse, resale, or materials recovery, in line with Zolo’s environmental and social objectives

Collected items will not be returned under any circumstance.

5. Prize Draws and Giveaways (If Applicable)
Where a prize draw is part of the Event:
- One entry per participant
- Winners selected at random after the Event
- Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash
- Zolo’s decision is final

6. Reporting
A high-level sustainability and impact summary will be shared with the Client, including:
- Volume of devices collected
- Environmental impact metrics (e.g. kg diverted from landfill)
- Circular economy outcomes (where applicable)

7. Media & Marketing
With the Client’s prior written or verbal approval, Zolo may capture content (photos, videos, or impact data) during or after the Event for use in marketing and communications.

This may include:
- Highlighting the Client’s sustainability efforts on LinkedIn and other social media platforms
- Featuring the Event in Zolo’s case studies or impact reports
- Showcasing circular economy outcomes (e.g. devices put back into circulation)

Zolo will not publish any branded content or use the Client’s name or logo without consent.

8. General
